3DS authentication in the demo environment

When making test card payments in the demo environment, it is possible to test different 3DS authentication scenarios.

Positive cases: 

  • Yes: Successful 3DS authentication. Client successfully confirmed the payment with PIN2 (or the equivalent).  Strong customer authentication status: 3DS
  • Attempt:  3DS authentication was attempted, however the card issuer allowed the transaction to be continued without it. Strong customer authentication status: 3DS Attempted

Negative cases: 

  • No: 3DS authentication failed. Client entered the wrong PIN2 (or the equivalent). Strong customer authentication status: 3DS Declined
  • Rejected: 3DS authentication was rejected from the card issuer side. Strong customer authentication status: 3DS Declined
  • Unavailable: 3DS failure due to technical reasons. Strong customer authentication status: 3DS Failed
